Terrific Summer Events In Warwick

In Warwick, we just love to schedule some summer events. This has been perfectly illustrated by the Platinum Jubilee celebrations and the Pub in the Park extravaganza. Not content with its multitude of tourist attractions, Warwick has marked the summer with some truly fantastic summer events that demonstrate our local passion for food, culture and entertainment!

Get A Taste Of Thailand

Jump into Thai culture at the Warwick Thai Festival! Held at the racecourse on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, these festivities consist of a myriad of different elements. Take your children to see the festival open with traditional food offerings to Buddhist monks, before taking them on a tour of a totally different world as you traverse the venue. It’s time to get educational in a fun way – term’s not over yet!

Enjoy the traditional dancing and singing performances, browse the stalls, take a break in the beer garden and relax as the kids revel in the children’s play area. Highlights of the weekend include a massage to help you unwind, a unique eating competition (sounds intriguing!) and Muay Thai Boxing!

Warwick’s Very Own Music Festival

Warwick ramps up the sound with its very own music festival, taking place between Thursday 21st and Sunday 24th July.

Warwick Folk Festival celebrates renowned contemporary and traditional folk music, with a line-up consisting of some of the best in the business. Those well-versed in the genre will be thrilled to learn that Will Pound will be headlining the festival with his trusty harmonica, which has won him multiple awards! Show of Hands, Seth Lakeman and The Young’uns will also grace the stage and we’re sure you will love their sets.

Not a folk fan? We have no doubt that you’ll still be able to appreciate this most exciting of summer events. It is set to take place in the gorgeous grounds of Warwick Castle, with camping, workshops, singing and dancing all taking place over the weekend. Summer events such as these put Warwick on the map as they attract fans from far, whilst still celebrating local talent. For example, one of the performers is none other than Ellie Gowers, whose debut album has been inspired by our historic town!

Get ready for a weekend soaked in prosecco, real ale, ice cream, dancing and incredible performances!

An Endless List Of Summer Events

There’s so much going on in the Warwick area over the next few months, in addition to the local tourist attractions and the summer events held up at the castle. For instance, Warwickshire Pride is set to take place in Leamington on 20th August, offering everything from workshops and performances to art activities and a dog show.

Warwick is an excellent base for summer events in the local area, such as the Leamington CultureFest: Good Times Festival and the shows taking place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. With such a diverse array of activities and events going on over the summer, Warwick is the perfect place for daytrips and staycations.
