We have some fantastic news to share from The Fourpenny – we’ve won Gold at Warwick in Bloom 2026!

The Fourpenny was named the Gold category winner for Hotels, Public Houses, Guest Houses, B&Bs and Restaurants, a wonderful achievement and one that the whole team is incredibly proud of.

The award was presented by the Mayor of Warwick and provides some lovely recognition for the time, care and hard work that goes into keeping The Fourpenny and its surroundings looking their best throughout the year.

Warwick in Bloom celebrates the businesses, residents and organisations that help make Warwick such an attractive and welcoming place to live, work and visit.

The annual competition recognises the effort that goes into gardens, floral displays and outdoor spaces across the town, encouraging people and local businesses to take pride in their surroundings.

For The Fourpenny, winning Gold is particularly special because our outdoor spaces form an important part of the experience we want to offer our customers.

Whether you’re joining us for a drink, coming for lunch or dinner, or staying overnight in one of our hotel rooms, we want The Fourpenny to feel welcoming from the moment you arrive.

Our plants, flowers and outside areas all contribute to that first impression, so we’re delighted to see the team’s efforts recognised with a Gold award.

A Team Effort Throughout the Year

Keeping everything looking its best isn’t something that happens overnight.

It takes ongoing work throughout the seasons, from maintaining planting and displays to keeping the exterior and surrounding areas tidy, attractive and welcoming.

That’s why this award really belongs to the whole Fourpenny team.

Everyone contributes to making The Fourpenny the place it is, whether that’s looking after our guests, serving behind the bar, preparing food in the kitchen, taking care of our hotel rooms or making sure the pub and its surroundings are ready to welcome customers each day.

Winning Gold at Warwick in Bloom is a lovely acknowledgement of that collective effort.

We’re also extremely proud to be an independent hotel, pub and restaurant in Warwick.

The Fourpenny is located just minutes from the heart of the historic town, close to some of Warwick’s best-known attractions, including Warwick Castle, Warwick Racecourse, St Mary’s Church and the Lord Leycester Hospital.

We’re fortunate to be part of a town with so much history and character, and initiatives such as Warwick in Bloom help make Warwick even more enjoyable for residents and visitors.

The competition encourages local businesses and the wider community to take pride in their surroundings, helping to make streets, gardens and public spaces across Warwick more colourful and inviting.

We’re delighted to have played our own small part in that this year.

For anyone who hasn’t visited us before, The Fourpenny brings a pub, restaurant and hotel together under one roof.

Our pub offers a regularly changing selection of real ales alongside craft lagers, ciders, wines and other drinks, providing a relaxed place to meet friends or simply enjoy a drink in Warwick.

Our restaurant serves seasonal food with an emphasis on generous portions, local ingredients and plenty of familiar favourites. From a relaxed lunch or evening meal to one of our popular Sunday roasts, there’s plenty of reason to stay for something to eat.

And if you’re visiting Warwick for a little longer, we also offer comfortable en-suite hotel accommodation within easy reach of Warwick town centre and its many attractions.

When the Warwickshire weather is on our side, our outside seating also provides somewhere to relax with a drink or meal – surrounded, of course, by some now officially Gold-winning surroundings!
