Calling all Christmas lovers! We welcome you to the Four Penny Pub, which will soon be going through its annual transformation into a festive wonderland. To all those traditionalists who wait until the 1st of December before even contemplating Christmas… sorry! Our Christmas menu is the highlight of the season but we get booked up at an astonishing speed, so it’s best to get in there early. View our menu now before it’s too late!

Setting The Scene

We believe in setting the scene at The Four Penny Pub and decorating is sure to get you in the mood. From luminous stars to a glittering tree, we fill our dining areas with light and laughter, ready for all the different types of bookings we usually get at this time of year. From family meals to intimate dinners, we set the stage with exquisitely decorated tables, which might have a few Santa hats, classic crackers and glasses full of your favourite drinks on them. Whoever you’re here with, we know you’re all waiting for the main event – a Christmas dinner!

Are You Ready For Our Christmas Menu?

We’ve built up your expectations, and we will not only meet them but surpass them! Our Christmas menu is sophisticated, varied and above all, tasty. Our gluten-free, vegetarian and plant-based provisions mean nobody misses out, this is evident from the very first course with our starters: crab pâté, cheese soufflé, broccoli tartlet and more.

As mouth-watering as the starters are, it’s the main course that’s the star of the show. Our delectable turkey dinner is accompanied by a range of Christmas classics, including pigs in blankets, pork and cranberry stuffing and the UK’s favourite element, roast potatoes. Even our brussels sprouts are done to perfection – they’re sautéed with bacon!

Alternatively, you could follow the traditions of other countries by eating fish for Christmas dinner – a pescatarian main is common in Italy, Australia, Poland and Fiji. Our fish dinner features a salmon fillet in a champagne sauce with enough flavours to rival our turkey. On the other hand, you could turn tradition on its head with a festive burger or mini-pumpkin, stuffed with rice, seeds and pecans. There are no rules for a Christmas menu, so we’ve unleashed all our culinary creativity this season!

The Icing On The Cake

Our Christmas menu gives you treat after treat, culminating in a range of enticing desserts. We’ve put our spin on the classic Christmas pudding, garnishing it with meringue, whipped brandy cream, orange segments and an amaretti biscuit crumb.

Scroll through our menu to choose your favourite option, from the dark chocolate pot du creme, tailored to those with a sweet tooth to a lighter and more delicate white wine syllabub and lemon shortbread. Of course, there will also be cheese and biscuits, we’re going to take it to the next level with stilton, port, walnuts and crackers!
